ARGIMUSCO HIGHLAND

Defined the Stonehenge Siciliana, the Argimusco plateau is a fascinating historical-naturalistic site within which stands a complex of sandstone rock megaliths; according to popular tradition their origin would be due to the hand of man in prehistoric times, for archaeologists and geomorphologists, however, it would be a natural phenomenon resulting from wind erosion: inserted in the Orientated Reserve of the Malabotta wood, it is an essential route for trekking lovers, and not only, embellished by Archaeoastronomy Festival 'Stones&StarsEstablished in 2012.
