An ancient medieval town with prehistoric origins, it is a place with a rich archaeological, artistic-cultural and enogastronomic heritage, located in the heart of Sicily.
For the beauty of its architecture and in particular of its churches, Mazzarino is considered the pearl of Sicilian Baroque. It is located within a tourist route of artistic and cultural value, called “The Way of Fasti and Prestige”, so much to be proposed to enter the precious list of Sicilian municipalities UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Its main attraction, as well as a symbol of the city, is the Castle of Roman-Byzantine origin called ‘U Cannuni’ because of the cylindrical shape of the only surviving tower.
The country offers a calendar of events, organized by local proloco, always quite rich in every season.
