The Season is already ready at the Greek Theater of Syracuse 2023 of classical representations. From’11 May to 2 July four shows are scheduled for four Italian directors. There will be two returns, Federico Tiezzi and Daniele Salvo, and two debuts, Leo Muscato and Giuliano Peparini. THE SHOWS

Col Prometheus Bound curated by Marina Valensise under the supervision of Davide Livermore, which returns to the Greek Theater for the fifth time, Leo Muscato makes his debut in Syracuse, internationally renowned director, famous for his conducting at the Bonn Opera House and for performances at the Fenice, at the San Carlo in Naples and at the Teatro alla Scala.

After directing Iphigenia in Aulis by Euripides in 2015, returns to the Greek Theater with the Medea by Euripides, the tragedy of female revenge, staged in Syracuse for the seventh time.

In the end, Aristophanes' comedy will be premiered at the Greek Theater, Peace, which tells of Trigeo, Attica winemaker, that climbs to Olympus to restore peace among men. It will be directed by Daniele Salvo, pupil of Ronconi, visionary director with a long experience in ancient drama. Daniele Salvo conducted in Syracuse Oedipus to Colonus of 2009, Ajax of 2010, Oedipus the King of 2013 e Coefore Eumenides of 2014.

The INDA Foundation, fresh from the success of the 57th Season of classical representations, with over 140 thousand spectators, will stage for the first time at the Greek Theater Ulysses, the last Odyssey. Lo show is conceived and directed by Giuliano Peparini, internationally renowned director and artistic director, as well as a highly versatile choreographer and dancer. Acclaimed at the Rome Opera House for The Nutcracker e The four Seasons, and abroad for g 1789 (France), The dream (Las Vegas), Romeo & Juliet, is able to range from collaborations with the likes of Claudio Baglioni to the one with stylists Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The show is inspired byOdyssey with libretto by Giuliano Peparini and Giuseppe Cesaro.
